Summary

A house built in the late sixteenth or early seventeenth century, enlarged in the eighteenth century and again in the nineteenth century with the creation of a cottage at the southern end. The building has walls of cob on a brick base and a thatched roof with brick chimney stacks.

‘The following houses unless otherwise described are of two storeys with cob walls and thatched roofs; the barns are of similar building materials. NORTH STREET (see village plan) e. side: … (24) HOUSE, of one storey and attics, is of similar plan and date to (23). A third room was added to the N. in the early 18th century and a Cottage at the S. end in the early 19th century.’
