‘Most of the following buildings stand in the meander valley of the river Piddle. … (65) HOUSE (⅓ m. N.E.), at Town’s End, of brick with tiled roofs, is of the late 18th century. The N. wall contains many glazed headers. Barn, S.E. of the house, is of cog with a slated roof. It was built in the early 19th century.’
