'Mr. T. R. Horsington of Nettlecombe Farm, Cheselbourne, found part of the rim of a large Romano-British 'frilled-rim' storage jar (D.C.M. 1954.7.1) in the field ST(31)/741017 on the south-western spur of Hog Hill, amongst Celtic field lynchets and about 200 yds. From the native settlement. The type is known from the New Forest kilns and in S.E. Britain. The fragment is of grey, sandy ware, and has a typical perforation through the thickness of the rim.'
