Summary
Watermill built by Ben Barlow, Mill Wright of Southampton, in 1754. There is a stone with the inscription "Ben Barlow Mill Wright of Southampton fecit 1754". The building itself may be of earlier origin. Now 2 houses (ie MDO16636 and MDO16806). It has Purbeck Stone walls and roof and is of two storeys with attics. The wheel was overshot, circa 12 feet diameter and 4 feet wide.
