Summary

A house built in the early part of the eighteenth century, with a later wing to the north-east. The builing has walls of brick and tiled roofs, and the later wing has '1773' inscribed in brickwork on the gable.

Full Description

(7) Abbey Farm (98900633), house, of two storeys with attics, has brick walls and tiled roofs. The S. range dates from the first third of the 18th century and has a symmetrical E. front of three bays with square-headed two-light casement windows in both storeys. A brick platband marks the level of the first floor. The N.E. wing,
added in 1773, is dated by an inscription in brickwork on the N. gable.

A stable adjacent on the N., with brick walls and a tiled roof, similarly bears the date 1783. <2>
