Summary

A detached cottage thought to have been built in the 18th century. The building has walls of cob covered in plaster and a thatched roof with a brick chimney stack, and later extensions have pantile roofs.

‘Unless otherwise described, the following cottages are single-storeyed with attics and have cob walls, thatched roofs and class-S plans. They date from late in the 18th to about the middle of the 19th century. … New Town … (34) Cottage (09410873), of two storeys, is of class T.’
