Summary

A house formerly known as Skies Farm, thought to have been built in the middle to late sixteenth century. Originally an open hall house, possibly a long house. The building has timber framed walls and a thatched roof with later brick chimney stacks. Surviving features of the interior are reported to include timber partictions, a large open fire place with bread oven, and smoke-blackened timbers and plaster.

‘(5) COTTAGE (06200577), of one storey with an attic, has timber-framed walls with cob and brick nogging, and a thatched roof. It is probably of 17th-century origin.’
