Full Description

The church in 1868 was a small edifice about to be taken down. It consisted of a nave, chancel, North aisle, South porch and West tower. It seems to have been Early-English with later additions. <1>

St John's was rebulit in 1870 by GR Crickmay and is a simple pl,an of nave, chancel and West tower. <4>

St John's is the parish church of Hinton Martell. The fabric was mainly built on old lines in the 19th century, incorporating old material and detail. Font 13th century. <5>
