Summary

Eighteenth century thatched cottage with symmetrical 2-storey plastered cob front. Substantial two-storey rear addition built after 1850, of stucco with hipped slate roof.

Full Description

Thatched cottage, C18, with symmetrical 2-storey plastered cob front, 2 casement windows on each floor flanking former glazed porch with segmental roof (now bay window). South gable of red brick, with kneelers. North gable half-hipped, with small stucco chimney on apex, upper half below hip of half-timber, with whitewashed brick infill between grid of thin horizontals and verticals. Substantial 2-storey rear addition (No 49b), after 1850, stucco with hipped slate roof.
