Full Description
Picturesque cottage on pathway in pinewood, circa 1850, ground floor and semi-attic, red brick with some grey headers (south gable now painted). Cruciform plan, gables to south, east and north having canted bays with hipped roofs to ground floor. Slightly lower west wing with storehouse (now garage). Mullioned casements, diamond lattice glazing, 3 lights with transom on ground floor, 2 lights on 1st. Steeply pitched roofs with ornamental scalloped tiles in bands alternating with ordinary tiles, carried down low over lean-to timber verandah-porch to south-east and over kitchen to south-west, overhanging eaves, plain bargeboards. Central chimneystack with set-off over crossing.
