Full Description
Neo-classical villa, circa 1800, 2 lofty storeys, pale greyish-yellow brick. Entrance front (east) 4 windows wide, straight-headed, glazing bars of sashes intact. Porch with fluted Greek Doric columns and Greek key frieze. Simple cornice of 2 projecting brick courses, hipped slate roof with tile ridges recessed behind parapet. 2 chimneys at south end, 1 chimney at north end, 2 have old square panelled Pots. Fifth bay to north, recessed and probably later. South end painted brick. Rear (west) has narrow centre bay to main block, making 5 bays. Well-preserved romantic landscape, lawns with cedar trees sweeping down to river. (1)
