Summary

Bronze Age bowl barrow, one of a small group on Beaminster Down. In 1952 this monument was reported as being around 24 feet in diameter with a mound about 1 foot high.

Full Description

'C' (ST 49780383). Probable remains of a bowl barrow; a vague ditchless mound approximately 8.0m. in diameter by 0.1m. high. Both 'B' and 'C' are grass-covered but have been under the plough. (3)

'(61) BOWL BARROWS, on Beaminster Down 1¾ m. N.E. of the church, are four in number. ... Two small barrows (c) and (d), 90 yards S.E. of (b), have been ploughed in the past, they are approximately 21 ft. and 24 ft. in diam. and 9 in. and 1 ft. high.'
