Monument record MDO1558 - Drove road, Longburton

ST 6473 1275 - 6482 1275 A section of the former drove road survives as a grassy track, now walled on both sides, and hedge lined beyond into fields. Shown on OS Epoch 1 6" to the mile map published in 1887, visible on aerial photographs dated 1947 and 1972 and on current Google Earth imagery. A hollow earthwork extending into the fields is visible on lidar, suggesting the drove road continued into this area at one time.

A section of the former drove road survives as a grassy track, now walled on both sides, and hedge lined beyond into fields. Shown on OS Epoch 1 6" to the mile map published in 1887, visible on aerial photographs dated 1947 and 1972 and on current Google Earth imagery. A hollow earthwork extending into the fields is visible on lidar, suggesting the drove road continued into this area at one time (OS 1887; RAF 1947; DC 1972; GE 2025; EA 2022).
