Full Description

(Centred at SY 57238760) A series of parallel medieval strip lynchets on the SW facing slope of a grass covered field. The lynchets have an average height of 0.7m, but are rather mutilated by modern tracks, and in poor condition. See air photograph RAF CPE/UK/1824 3305. <1>

Earthworks of a medieval field system with strip lynchets. The strip lynchets run parallel and have an average height of 0.7 metres, but are rather mutilated by modern tracks, and in poor condition. The site was digitally plotted from aerial photographs as part of the South Dorset Ridgeway Mapping Project. <2>
