Full Description

Built as cottages for coastguards. Well-preserved vernacular terrace of houses (now used as service accommodation for Highcliffe Hotel) buff brick, circa 1850, with regular rhythm of paired windows. Main south front articulated by 3 gables, 2 windows wide, projecting forward by a whole bay. Windows segment-headed in gables, flat-headed elsewhere, with voussoirs in same brick. On north side windows all segment-headed, with voussoirs in red brick. Slate roof. 2 of 5 chimneys on ridge have been cut down. Lower extension to west.
