Summary

One of seven Bronze Age bowl barrows clustered around a bank barrow and a long barrow. In 1952 this monument was reported as being around 56 feet in diameter with a mound about 5 feet high, with a ditch around it. The top has been disturbed.

Full Description

Bowl barrow; diameter 56 ft, height 5 ft. Ditched. <3>

A bowl barrow with a diameter of 18.0m, and a height of 1.8m, with surrounding ditch 3.0m wide, and an average depth of 0.4m. The barrow is grass covered, with a small hollow on top. <4>

A bowl barrow, one of a group of monuments clustered in the vicinity of the Long Bredy bank barrow (SY 59 SE 27). Listed by RCHME as Long Bredy 8 (d) and by Grinsell as Long Bredy 12, it was described by RCHME as a mound 35 feet in diameter and 3 feet high. <3-5>

A Bronze Age bowl barrow on Long Barrow Hill. The site is one of a group of monuments in the vicinity of the Long Bredy bank barrow (MDO1509) and is clearly visible on aerial photographs. <7-9>

Some impression of a ditch still surviving up to 0.2m deep, otherwise as RCHM. Ploughed around - darker soil as well as a slight depression indicates ditch. 1/2/B
