Summary

A lime kiln recorded by Peter Stanier. The kiln is not shown on the second edition (1900-2) or the 1963 1:10,000 scale Ordnance Survey map, and the source of Dr Stanier’s information is not known to the HER at the time of writing this summary. The date of this kiln is not known but it is most likely to be late nineteenth century. The site was visited in 1992-93 by Dr Stanier, who could find no trace of the kiln structure.
