Listed Building record MDO14777 - Clare Cottage, High Street, Yetminster

A cottage at the end of a terrace, thought to have been built around the middle of the seventeenth century. The building has walls of stone rubble and a thatched roof with a brick chimney stack. Surviving interior features are reported to include a large open fireplace.

‘The following monuments, unless otherwise described, are of the 17th century and of two storeys; the walls are of rubble and the roofs are thatched or covered with modern materials. Some of the buildings have exposed ceiling-beams and original fireplaces. … (18) Cottage, two tenements, 90 yards S.E. of (17), has an original front doorway with a four-centred head and a square label.’
