Summary

A farmhouse thought to have been built in the early seventeenth century, but altered in the eighteenth century. The building has walls of rubble stone with ashlar dressings, and a stone slate roof with stone and brick chimney stacks.

‘The following monuments, unless otherwise described, are of the 17th century and of two storeys; the walls are of rubble and the roofs are thatched or covered with modern materials. Some of the buildings have exposed ceiling-beams and original fireplaces. … (7) Cross Farm, house 150 yards N.N.E. of the church, has later additions at the back. The front retains its original three and four-light windows with labels; there are similar windows at the back.’
