Summary

A detached cottage built in the later part of the seventeenth century, with later alterations. The two-storey building has walls of rubble stone and a thatched roof with stone gable copings and a brick chimney stack.

‘The following monuments, unless otherwise described, are of the 17th century and of two storeys; the walls are of rubble and the roofs are thatched or covered with modern materials. Some of the buildings have exposed ceiling-beams and original fireplaces. … (6) Cottage, on the S. side of the road, 130 yards W. of the church, was built probably early in the 18th century.’
