Summary

A former open-hall house built in the fifteenth century, and ceiled in the late sixteenth century. The building was extended by the addition of a wing at right-angles to the north in the twentieth century. The building has rubble-stone walls and a thatch roof with gable ends and stone gable-copings.

'The following monuments, unless otherwise described, are of the 17th century and of two storeys; the walls are of rubble and the roofs are covered with thatch or modern materials. Some of the buildings have exposed ceiling-beams and original fireplaces. … (5) Spring House, about 300 yards N.W. of the church.'
