Summary

A detached cottage built in the early eighteenth century, with an attached cottage to the south. The building has walls of stone rubble and clay-tile roofs with stone gable-copings and a brick chimney stack. Surviving original features are reported to include a bread oven.

‘The following monuments, unless otherwise described, are of the 17th century and of two storeys; the walls are of rubble and the roofs are covered with thatch or modern materials. Some of the buildings have exposed ceiling-beams and original fireplaces…. (11) Cottage, 50 yards S. of (10), was built early in the 18th century.’
