[Area centred SY55509220] Field systems plotted from air photographs. <1>

A narrow but long strip of IA/RB fields is visible on AP CPE/UK/2431/3151-53. This system falls on the N. and W. facing slopes of the valley which surrounds HAYDON DOWN. The system consists of small irregular fields, the lynchets of which average 6.0m wide and 0.4m high, and the field banks are of similar width and height. The system is completely grass covered. <2>
