Summary

A detached cottage built in the late 17th century with later additions. The building is set at right angles to the road. The walls are of stone rubble with dressed stone detail, and the roof is thatched. The initials and date 'I.N. 1756' can be seen below the eastern chimney stack.

'(6) Cottage, 30 yards S.W. of (5), has been extended and partly rebuilt in the 18th century; the initials and date I.N. 1736 appear below the E. chimney-stack.' {1}
