Listed Building record MDO14371 - Building ten metres south-east of Clifton House (The Library), Clifton Maybank

Mid sixteenth century building, the original use of which is uncertain, now housing the library. It has dressed stone walls with Ham stone dressings and clay-tile roofs with stone gable-copings.

[ST 57651390. S.E. of Clifton House [ie MDO14370] is an e.16thc. building, apparently unrelated to the original house. It contains a number of original windows, has a projecting stair turret at the N.W. angle, and an original roof structure. There is evidence on the N. wall that a wing once extended to the N. <1>
The building is not named.
The building is in excellent condition and as described in T.2. <5>
