Summary

One of a group of three bowl barrows situated on a chalk ridge of the South Dorset Downs. The barrows have mounds composed of earth, chalk and flint and a surrounded by infilled quarry ditches which survive as buried features.

Full Description

Three bowl barrows, diameters of 'A' 'B' and 'C' 9, 5 and 7 paces respectively with heights of 1ft. 'A' has a hollow in the top. <2>

Bowl barrow, one of three, 21ft. in diam and 0.75ft. high. Listed as especially worthy of preservation. <3>

Three ditchless grass covered bowl barrows, A, B and C, with respective diameters 9.0m, 7.0m and 7.0m, and from 0.3m to 0.4m high. <4>
