Village pump dated 1880, protected by contemporary wooden structure. Well preserved. <2>

‘Village pump and pumphouse, dated 1880. Probably built for Lord Wolverton. Open timber frame housing with pitched tile roof, set on stone platform with bricks underneath. Pump is set in timber casing with ornamental lead plate and pipe, carrying initials “OWO 1880”. Pump handle to one side, chained up. Stone trough at ground level.’
