Full Description

Two bowl barrows on arable ground. 'A' - Diameter 28 paces, height 5ft. <3>

Two bowl barrows under the plough, with no visible ditches. Barrow 'A' is very flinty on top but otherwise both 'A' and 'B' are similar with diameters of 28.0m and heights of 1.7m. <5>

Three bowl barrows (part of a large group - see also SY 59 SE 67) north of Littlebredy church (see illust).

A Bronze Age bowl barrow lying at SY5885089898. The barrow is visible as cropmarks and earthworks on aerial photographs <10-11> and is 28m across with an outer ditch. It was digitally plotted during the South Dorset Ridgeway Mapping Project.

Dimensions as above, but due to it being located on a W facing slope it is 1.70m high on the W while only 1.0m on the E. This barrow has been protected from further damage by the provision of marker posts around the barrow together with SDR 115. This has created a rectangular unploughed, grass covered zone in a field that was ploughed and under grass when visited. 1/3/B
