'The following houses and cottages are of the 18th century and unless otherwise described are two-storeyed with rubble walls and thatched roofs. … (24) Cow Grove Farm (83751853), house, of two storeys with brick walls and a thatched roof, is of the late 18th century. The N. front is symmetrical and of three bays, with a central doorway and with plain sashed windows. The plan is a variant of class T, having the fireplaces set against the rear wall instead of the end walls.'
