Summary

House, late fifteenth or early sixteenth century in origin, alterations in late sixteenth, seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. Walls of rendered, whitewashed rubble, timber framing and possibly cob. Thatched roof with gable ends. The house originally was an open hall.

Full Description

(ST 78891393, house sited from OS 10000 1983 and map with Auth 1). Late 15th or early 16th century house, originally of 3 bays with timber framed walls and 4 cruck or jointed-cruck roof-tremes. The two eastern bays were probably an open-roofed hall while the west bay was of two storeys. Alterations from the late 16th-18th centuries. <1>
