Summary

A lime kiln recorded as ‘limekiln’ on the second edition (1900-2) and 1927 revision of the Ordnance Survey map. The date of this kiln is not known but it is most likely to be late nineteenth century. The site was visited in 1992-93 by Peter Stanier, who recorded that little (20-39%) of the kiln structure survived in bad condition. It was not possible to determine what type of kiln construction this was.
