The Badbury Rings to Dorchester Roman road. RCHM,V,XXXIII-XXXIV
Part of the route of the Roman road, between Athelhampton and Ilsington Wood was recorded as a cropmark and an earthwork from aerial imagery dating to between 1945 and 2008 during the Wild Purbeck Mapping project. Two sections of the road were recorded, one visible as a single bank and the other as a bank with an associated ditch on its eastern side. The sections measure 365 m and 290 m in length. (1-3)
