Summary
A lime kiln recorded as ‘old limekiln’ on the second edition (1900-2) Ordnance Survey map. The date of the kiln is not known but it is most likely to be late nineteenth century. The kiln is not shown on the 1962 Ordnance Survey map, and the site was visited in 1992-93 by Peter Stanier, who could find no trace of the kiln structure.
