Summary

A one-storey cottage thought to have been built in the early nineteenth century, with later alterations by architect Arnold Mitchell to form a Cottage orné. The front part is roughly octagonal, with wood casements and door with diamond-shaped panel over, and the roof carried down to wooden posts, and a central chimney. There is an oblong wing at the back. It was once a gardener’s cottage.
