Full Description

FIELD SYSTEMS:- Taken from Air photo's in Jany - March 1949 by R J C Atkinson. <1>

Area centred at SY588919 Lynchets and field banks of IA/RB type are visible on AP CPE/UK/2431/3146, but the area has now been brought under cultivation and the field system now has scattered lynchets up to 1.5m high. Under the plough at the time of investigation. <2>

Earthwork remains of an Iron Age or Romano British field system. The field lynchets are visible as low earthworks and cropmarks on aerial photographs. <3-5>
