Full Description

Lynchets, in two groups each of four terraces, lie on a SE slope 1/4 mile N of Kingston Russell House. <1>

Areas of medieval type strip lynchets. Visible on air photographs CPE/UK/1824 4285-6:
A. Centred SY 57398995. Four grass covered widely spaced strip lynchets, set in an E-W direction, and averaging 1.3m high.
B Centred SY 57928996. A series of very mutilated grass covered strip lynchets set in an E-W direction. The lynchets are regularly spaced and parallel.
C. Centred SY 58108979. A series of much mutilated grass covered strip lynchets, intermittent, but regularly spaced and parallel.
D. Centred SY 57408987. Four E-W lynchets in a grass field. The lynchets are widely spaced and average 1.5m high. <2>
