'(ii) Hill Street, Holwell. Ordnance Survey, from information received from Mr. R. Hole of Elm Tree Farm, records the site noted in Proceedings Vol. 72 (1950), p. 78, as ST 70821184, some 350 yds. No. of the point recorded by Mr. C. E. Bean. Mr. Bean writes that O.S. may well be correct since he only saw the pottery recovered by drain layers c. 1935. This site is also on Oxford Clay.'
