Full Description

A mid-19th century former flax warehouse standing end-on to George Street and with a series of outhouses and yard to east. It is of three-storeys and five bays with stone walls and a hipped corrugated roof. There is a wide segmental-arch opening in the central ground floor bay on the east and west elevations. There are five ranges of shuttered openings on the east and west elevations. There are wide taking-in doors to each storey on the south elevation overlooking the street. There is an attached two-storey office to the east. There are single storey outhouses to the north and a range of outhouses along the east side of the yard. <1>

Former flax warehouse of 18th-19th century date. Hammer dressed stone, including some blue lias. Hipped corrugated iron roof. 3 storeys. 5 ranges of casements with shutters some with iron bars. Segmental arch on ground floor, originally with doors. Planked double loading doors above this. 1 storey outhouses to north and south-east. West elevation has 5 ranges of shuttered openings. 1 planked loading door and 1 segmental arch on ground floor.l range of loading doors in south elevation. Range of outhouses along east side of yard. Hammer dressed stone. Open to west, no openings to road. Hipped corrugated iron roof. <6>
