Full Description
A Neolithic stone axe head three and seven sixteenth inches long and two and eleven sixteenths inches wide. It has been identified as being Cornish Greenstone, coming probably from the Mounts Bay area. Discovered during the excavation of Halstock Roman Villa, in the course of removal of a baulk immediately adjacent to a bank and hedge allong Common Lane. (1)
