Full Description
SY541942. Celtic field remains as fragments of field bounderies to rough Medieval strip field. Five or six strip lynchets extend for ca. 200 yards with treads 20 - 100 yards wide and rises up to 10 feet high. <1-2>
A medieval field system comprising strip lynchets, field banks and cultivation marks (ridge and furrow?), visible as earthworks on aerial photographs to the south of Eggardon Hill. <3>
