Summary

Full Description

An early-mid 19th century workshop/warehouse building converted into a house. It is a three storey three-bay building of hammer-dressed stone and a pitched slate roof. There are central taking-in doors with a winch hoist over. It has small square windows with timber lintels. It is a good surviving example of a small industrial workshop/warehouse building in Bridport. <1-3>

Early or mid 19th century works. Hammer dressed stone. Pitched slate roof. Red brick stack, 3 storeys and attics. 3 ranges of casements with glazing bars, those on 2nd floor part shuttered. Planked loading door on 1st floor. Winch hoist over. Modern openings to ground floor. 2 attic casements with glazing bars in west elevation. <5>

Former warehouse, now a house. Probably built in the early 19th century, the building is of 3 storeys, with 3 bays and central taking-in doors with a hoist beam at the eaves. The building has small square windows with timber lintels. Later brick flue and stack to west end, suggests early domestic conversion. Adjoining buildings demolished. Photographs of attic in museum collection. Association with textiles not certain. Site identified in field 1997. <6>
