Full Description

The published note describes this find as follows: 'Mediaeval quillon dagger, Frampton; SY(30)/67259505. Found by R. Rogers, of Southover Farm, in a ploughed field north of the church. Iron ; length 13 and a quarter ins.; blade of diamond section ; quillons and pommel ornamented with ring mouldings.' (1)

The published grid reference does not correspond to a location south of the church; this is almost certainly a typographical error, and SY 6225 9505 is thought to be a more likely grid reference for the find spot as described.
