Full Description

House built in the first half of the 18th century, but the front was altered at the end of the 18th century. It is of two storeys with attics. The walls are of squared and coursed local stone. The south front is symmetrical with central round-headed doorway with fanlight and panelled reveals. It has five ranges of windows with flat arches and keystones, fitted with flush-framed sashes, also an attic dormer. There is a dentil-cornice and a panelled parapet-wall. <1>

There is a two storey rear extension with stone rubble walls, which has chamfered ceiling beams and may be a remnant of an earlier house. To the rear of the house is a four storey brick tower with parapet.

Early or mid 18th century, possibly a rebuilding of a 17th century house. Hammer dressed stone. Pitched tile roof. 2 storeys and attic. Stone modillion eaves cornice. Parapet, cement rendered. 5 ranges of sashes with glazing bars in moulded flush frames: stone lintels with projecting key blocks. Attic dormer. Round-headed doorway has flat rendered archivolt, keystone, and fanlight. <4>
