Full Description

37 & 39 East Street, Bridport is a 17th century building of stone and timber-framing, but was re-fronted in the 18th century. It is of two storeys and attics. There is a central doorway with moulded architrave and lead-covered hood with bowed front. Two inserted shop windows. The rear of No 39 has a timber-framed upper storey. (1) (2)

17th century houses, refronted in early 18th century, and now shops. Hammer dressed stone. Part timber framed. Pitched modern roof. 2 storeys and attics. Dentilled eaves cornice. 5 ranges of sashes with glazing bars, ashlar lintels and projecting key blocks. Central entry with 6-panel door, moulded architrave and lead covered hood with bowed front. 2 shop windows. Rear of No 39 has timber framed upper storey and 1 3-light casement with lead glazing bars. <6>
