Well preserved earthworks of a Medieval field system with strip lynchets, field boundaries and ridge and furrow visible as low earthworks and cropmarks on aerial photographs.

Full Description

Centred at SY 624941 and SY 627940. Two distinct areas with Medieval strip lynchets. The area to the north-west of the valley bottom has three parallel NE-SW strips, each averaging 8.0 metres wide, the lynchets being from 1.0 to 1.5 metres high.
This area is wooded. The larger area on the south-east side of the valley has a large number of parallel strip lynchets which are poorly developed, and average 0.5 metres high. <1>
