Full Description

The lynchets in Lanchards Plantation are pronounced, from 2.0 to 4.0 metres high, the terraces between them averaging 10.0 metres wide. They do not quite follow the contours, and have a downward slope towards the north-west.Cultivation does not appear to have extended eastward of the plantation, the lynchets fading into the natural slope at the plantation boundary.

Widely spaced strip lynchets from 1.0 to 2.0 metres high, are visible in the pasture area immediately north-west of the plantation. These lynchets are all of Medieval type. <2>

These lynchets remain as described above <2>. <3>
