Summary

Later seventeenth century farmhouse with nineteenth century rear extensions, andaddition at south end circa 1925. Coursed lias stone walls. Slate roof with stone gable-copings. One brick stack at right hand gable, one twentieth century brick stack at front eaves. 2 storeys

Full Description

(1) 'The following monuments, unless otherwise described, are of the 17th century and of two storeys; the walls are of rubble and the roofs are thatched or covered with modern materials. Some of the buildings have exposed ceiling-beams and original fireplaces. ... (55) Coombe Down Farm, house ΒΌ m. E. of (5), has been altered and enlarged in the present century. The E. front retains a number of original stone-mullioned windows, some with labels; there are also some small windows with triangular heads.'
