The Farm of Buckham Mill was sold by the Gerards of Sandford Orcas in the reign of Elizabeth I to the Bennetts, which family held it until 1630. (2)

Buckham Mill is an early 17th century two-storeyed house of rough ashlar with a thatched roof. It retains some original stone-mullioned windows windows with labels on the NE front, and inside are some original partitions, one having moulded rails. Two original fire-places have four-centred head, and there are also four-centred doorways.

There is an 18th century addition on the north. (3-4)
