Summary

A church built between 1875-6 of Portland ashlar with either Bath or Ham stone dressings. Inside are good examples of late nineteenth century reredos between the chancel, south chancel aisle and alabaster pulpit. In the churchyard, immediately south of the West tower is a monument to William Barnes. Parish Church of The Holy Trinity was entirely rebuilt in 1876 to the designs of Benjamin Ferrey and has a nave and chancel of the same height with a lean to north aisle and narrow south aisle. In 1974 it was declared redundant, but was acquired by theCatholic Diocese of Plymouth, and altered by Anthony Jaggard. It reopened in 1976.

Full Description

Parish Church of The Holy Trinity was entirely rebuilt in 1876 to the designs of Benjamin Ferrey and has a nave and chancel of the same height with a lean to north aisle and narrow south aisle. <2>
