Full Description

Cottage and shop (dated 1826). Banded flint and brick with thatched, gable-ended roof with end brick stacks, to ends of original range. Shop range right and outshut left of later build. Two storeys, three window range (to original range). 2-light casements with full and horizontal glazing bars. Central panelled door.

‘Unless otherwise described the following monuments are of the 18th century and of two storeys, with cob walls, thatched roofs, brick chimneys and casement windows. … (5) Post Office (70040235), 130 yds. E. of (2), is of banded brick and flint; the symmetrical three-bay S. front is dated 1826 on a panel over the central doorway.’
